Image-created vs. reality​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

“Since the 1980s, styling has involved a great deal of mixing and  matching of already existing styles and fashions as well as making  specific ‘styling pieces’. Styling based on DIY (Do It Yourself). [...] These clothes and accessories cannot be bought and do not enter the fashion industry’s commercial circuit of production, consumption and distribution, but are made exclusively for the symbolic value of the image.”

This is a part of a school project about understanding modern culture and media.

My Role: Photography, Layout, Art Direction, Concept 
We have interpreted CHANEL’s spring/summer 2019 collection, and re-created images with edible elements. We have chosen food elements that in prepared state all will parish over time, to emphasise the fact that the photos are only created for  the purpose of the photo.... and to leave you smiling!
